self-reliance

First all, I would just like to greet this guy right here:

Happy 15th Birthday, Martin! :D

Hey pare, happy birthday! I know I always make taray and all, but that's just because you always kurot my nose. Wahaha. :D Minsan na ngang nagka-pasa ng dahel sa kurot mo eh. *wink* Pero despite all of it, I want to let you know that I'm just here. It's great to be your friend. I'm SO proud of the person you've become. (Math wizard na, bassist pa ng banda! :D) Again, happy birthday! Matanda ka na Kuya, so act your age, okay? Take good care of yourself always :)

Anyway..

I just came from school. We took a bite over at Rainbow Building before heading home.

You're prolly wondering about the title. Well, we're reading a new selection for English class which is entitled Self-Reliance and I enjoyed Teacher Erik's discussion a while ago. He started by asking us a question. His intro? "When do you consider a person matured?" The whole class had a lot of insights and point of views. All in all, we enjoyed it. [I'm playing Hebe for the Hercules play, by the way. Siya yung anak ni Hera (portrayed by Clarisse) na makakatuluyan ni Hercules (which will be portrayed by Ronnel) sa ending. It's just a really small part but I'm really glad I had it anyway. Just being in the play and be able to act is too much of a blessing already. :)] Anyway, back to my topic.. my gawsh I'm such a malabo blogger. Wahehe. :D

Here is my favorite part in the selection: "Trust thyself; every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place that divine providence has found you, the society of your contemporaries, the connection of events.
